Avronics - started out as some ideas and has been growing into fun projects and a great learning experince. I wanted a way to easily post up entires, links, and other great projects people are working on. I built this website in about 2 days. I used HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP/MySQL, and RSS. Their are a couple of parts that are still "in the works", but the goal of avronics as a easy to post website is finshed. I posted how the backend of avronics works on the Avronic's Explained posting. Comments, Ideas, etc. please email john [at-symbol] john murch DOT com |

Current Personal Website - This website started out completely dynamic with the vision of building SpicyCMS (A content management system that would allow for various setups and layouts.) I currently have beta 0.0.1 of SpicyCMS working. Although I have learned a lot while building this PHP/MySQL application. I think I might look into reimplementing it with CakePHP or with Ruby on Rails. I posted SpicyCMS screenshots and explained a bit of how it will be used. Tonic Computers - a "planned to be" computer store that my brother was planning on starting. He needed a website, so I built this to get him started. Since I have worked at a lot of computer stores in my youth, I have had this vision of a tracking system for computers that would allow customers to track their status via the web much like FedEx and UPS for packages. After telling a number of people about it, one of the computer stores I worked for contacted me and wanted a demo of the tracking system. Since I had not even started, I asked them for some input and got going on the project It took a couple of weeks during the summer while I had a full time job, but I got the ground work done. Simple Ticket System - This is the ticket system that I build using PHP/MySQL. This will help explain how it works. |

Art 5 Website - This link will give you and idea of the front end of the website I built to help myself and other classmates study for the exam. There was a couple of other parts to the website, but I have lost some of the code. (note this site contains images from the text book that was required for the class.) I built most of this in about 2 days, the hard part was adding all the information into the MySQL tables. I also added some other features around the time of the final exam. The process and implementation aka backend can be found at http://archive.johnmurch.com/portfolio/art5explained |
