Avronics Explained
Avronics started out as a project to build a development board. Myself and another member worked on this project and wanted a place on the web to post their varioius progress, but also wanted a way to post interesting news, links, and projects. Avronics need a easy to use backend that allowed for both of us to easily post entires. Since I have already built SpicyCMS, I had an idea on how to build a Content Mangement System. I started from scratch and built the entire template and backend in about 2 days. I am still currently working on this site, but use it mostly for posting stories for friends and other hardware/software enthustiatis to read. There are a couple of features that I would like to add, but the traffic on this site does not need hourly updates.
Building Avronics was a great learning experince on extreme programing and taking an idea and going from nothing to a solid platform in a short amount of time. I used Photoshop for a couple of the images along with a bit of the layout. Avronics uses PHP/MySQL, CSS, HTML, and RSS.
